Demonstration Evenings: held on the fourth Wednesday of the month at the United Reformed Church, Caterham Valley.at 7.30pm Enjoy a professional artist demonstrate aspects of their work, including oils, watercolours, pastels, etc. nine times a year. The tea break offers the opportunity to look closely at the work in progress and also any other work the artist may bring along. Free to members but a charge of £5 to non-members, students £2. Club Evenings: these informal events are usually held three times a year. Two are in the winter months and include our Christmas get together. The third is a summer event in the form of a free painting evening when you get a chance to paint along with fellow members in a relaxed atmosphere complete with a half-time tea break. Free to members but a charge of £5 to non-members, students £2. Workshops: We aim to hold three workshops a year in the Soper Hall in Caterham Valley. They take place on a Saturday are run from 10.30am until about 4.30pm. with a tutor to lead, encourage, help and advise. Please bring a packed lunch. Tea and coffee will be provided. There will be a fee for all workshops. Sketching Days: These are arranged on an ad hoc basis from April to the autumn at various locations in the area. Detailed arrangements will be circulated to members prior to each event. The days are free but there may be an entry charge to a location such as Titsey Place. Exhibition: The group holds an annual exhibition for members to display and sell their paintings. If you exhibit you will be asked to help with stewarding the exhibition.
